Welcome to The Teacher's Cabin

The Teacher's Cabin at Patrick Creek, Kalispell, Montana is the perfect, peaceful headquarters and home base for your fun-filled Montana vacation.

The Teacher's Cabin location is a hiker/mountain biker paradise in the Salish Mountain Range, which is part of the Northwest Montana Rocky Mountain Range. There is an abundance of Forest Service acreage and trails available for your every adventure and total enjoyment. Hike/bike the surrounding forest trails, or ride horseback to the scenic mountaintops, where dramatic, majestic vistas of the Flathead Valley, the Swan Mountain Range and Flathead Lake await every guest. The Flathead Valley area is an outdoor paradise, with a variety of activities sure to please every guest.

The fully furnished Teacher's Cabin sits on 1.5 acres of a private wooded lot (fully fenced), surrounded by thousands of acres of State and Federal Forest Service land, in the midst of the Salish Mountain Range. Wildlife is abundant, with over 80 bird species noted in just the last three years. Our fenced property and lush forested mountain location allows guests to enjoy nature's wilderness at its best. (Please see our slideshow of pictures located at page bottom of Teacher's Cabin page.)

The historic Teacher's Cabin was originally a Forest Service stable; which was brought to the Forest Park School House and converted to the teacherage. While offering an authentic, historic Montana log cabin lodging experience; the cabin still provides all the comforts of home.

The Teacher's Cabin is seated on one private acre, and is a historic, charming, one-room log cabin. The cabin sleeps two (2) to four (4) people; with the ability to accommodate additional guests, if pre-arranged. Step into the "old-world" Montana charm, while experiencing your relaxing stay.
The Teacher's Cabin is a great place to vacation, while experiencing Montana's beauty and splendor. Whether a weekend "get-away," or a longer vacation, we welcome guests to enjoy this historic and restful experience amidst the backdrop of the surrounding lush forest and scenic mountains. Enjoying nature at its finest, the Teacher's Cabin is a wonderful place to enjoy the quiet bliss of Mother Nature.

The rush of Patrick Creek's melodic water sounds, as well as its sun-glistened waters with Blue Heron, Canadian Geese, Wood Ducks and Mallards will entertain you as you laze in the hammock, or sit on the porch with a light summer's breeze. The gorgeous sunrises and sunsets against the backdrop of the Salish Mountain Range make it a memorable experience. Our starlit Montana sky is a spectacular sight at night, with every major constellation within view. The White-Tailed deer grazing in local meadows, or the Snowy Owls, Eagles and Red-Tailed Hawks are sure to give you a taste of Montana's wildlife. The Teacher's Cabin is a haven to appreciate nature, to explore the abundant surrounding Montana adventures, to enjoy peaceful relaxation and to re-energize on all levels.
